1. These photos were taken at what seem to be some apartments or offices in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. This building stuck out to me because of how old the architecture looks just from looking at the outer parts of the windows. Another thing that caught my eye was the grated object placed ver all of the lower windows. It gave the building a feeling of being stuck and trapped inside. The overall dull color of it also added to a more stuck feeling of the building and that it didn't seem like a very enjoyable place. I tried to convey a confined and stuck feeling with these photos.
2. This location is also found in Ann Arbor, MI attached to another building. What caught my eye about this was the symmetry this structure holds. The brick pillars all lined up in unison with their red brick color contrasting the white concrete on the floor and ceiling all really complement each other. Even as you enter the walkway, there are two pillars near the front greeting you before all of the ones on the side lead the way. With these photos I tried to convey a feeling of choosing a new path and having helping hands on the way.
3. This castle like structure is also located on the University of Michigan's campus in downtown Ann Arbor. What really threw me off about this building is how out of date it looks making it very unlike any surrounding buildings on campus. It looks like it could be a building taken straight out of the renaissance. It also draws a lot of curiosity to it because of how mysterious the entrance looks like almost luring you in. However, when you go inside you find a few concrete pillars and to the left a whole grassy area leading to more buildings and pathways (not photographed). With these photos I tried to convey a feeling of mystery and question.
4. This bell tower is located on U of M's campus in Ann Arbor, MI. This building also contains a lot of symmetry such as window placements or where the material is cut out more towards the clock. I feel like this building is also much more modern looking compared to the others especially the composition of the clock making it hard to tell it's even there. What caught my eye especially about this one was the details of it. For example there was a vase with yellow flowers placed in the one of the small windows of this tower. However, from far away you would never be able to tell. The door of it also contrasted a lot by being dark and looking much smaller compared to the rest of the building. With these photos, I tried to convey a feeling of experiencing every small thing the most you can.
5. This last building is also located in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. This piece of construction also has a much more modern feeling to it just from the colors, composition, and materials used. However there's one thing that makes it stand out which is the sculptures attached to the front wall. The one I photographed seems to be a woman caressing a bunny. I think this element of it makes the building unique and more original because of how much it contrasts from the modern look of it. With these photos I tried to convey a feeling of originality and creativity.
